From award-winning Norwegian filmmaker Bent Hamer, THE MIDDLE MAN is a darkly humorous social satire revolving around the characters in a small North American town. The social fabric of Karmack is disintegrating as unusual accidents befall it’s residents, leading to the newly created position of a ‘middle man’ whose sole job is to inform the next-of-kin after another unfortunate incident. Frank Farrelli takes the job on with gusto, becoming the town’s beacon of bad news. With a new job and a budding romance, Frank uses his new position to call in a favour that ends in an absurd but potentially tragic murder.
